Cheesy and the Bears is the creative powerhouse of longtime collaborators Tyler Carlin and Gogosongs (Dave Zand), childhood friends born and raised in Coral Springs, South Florida.
Today, Tyler is based in Ashburn, Virginia, and Dave in Los Angeles, yet the duo’s cross-country collaboration continues to define their signature blend of humor, storytelling, music and cultural exploration. Their work has generated tens of millions of views and sparked a highly engaged audience who actively participate in the expanding Cheesy and the Bears universe.
Their portfolio includes viral social content, brand collaborations, and large-scale community engagement. One standout moment came during a partnership with “x”: after delivering a creative reel the brand initially rejected, they produced a revised version that went on to outperform all content on the brand’s grid—while the original “unapproved” reel exploded on Cheesy and the Bears’ own channel. Their expertise, instinct, and creative precision continue to set them apart. They know how to create highly engaging virality.

Tyler is a formally trained musician and biochem engineer with years of writing and creative development experience. Dave is a Berklee College of Music graduate, music-industry veteran, and serial startup founder who continues to write and produce music. Both discovered their creative drive early and have built careers rooted in imaginative worldbuilding, narrative-rich storytelling, and distinctive sonic identities.
Outside their creative work, both creators value family, great food, tv/film, creating music, golf, poker, video games, and anything that sparks laughter. Tyler is a proud father to a 9-year-old daughter, and Dave is a proud father to a 6-year-old daughter and 1-year-old son.
