ERIC TOMS

Eric began his career in stand-up comedy. By 25 had already worked with some of his comedy heroes, such as Kevin Pollak, Norm Macdonald, Lewis Black, and Tracy Morgan. Some of his early work includes hosting the comedy clip show REALITY BINGE on FOX, guest starring in DISNEY sitcoms, and starring in independent feature films.

His first feature film, BAKERSFIELD NOIR, which he wrote, produced, directed and starred in is available on streaming platforms, and he is currently in pre-production on his second feature, CONTROL, which he has written and will direct. His latest feature screenplay, BEST SERVED COLD, haS been optioned by producers and is currently attaching stars. 

His latest theatre production, MY DAD'S KID, which he wrote and starred alongside Nanci Kelham and premiered at the Beverly Hills Playhouse, was critically acclaimed, with reviewers stating, "A powerful piece by a first-time playwright. Eric Toms is an author to watch - and he can act too" -- Elaine Mura, Splash Magazine. Eric has also appeared in theatre productions like the world premiere musical, ONE FOR MY BABY, Ibsen's A DOLL'S HOUSE, and THE DINNER PARTY.

As a community organizer, Eric has hosted THE NIGHT OF SHORTS NIGHT, LA's longest running short film showcase. The show was co-created with his longtime creative partner, James Codeglia. The two proudly tout that the show is free for filmmakers to submit and free for audience members to attend. The show is a training ground for filmmakers to explore new work and showcase their talents. 

Eric’s writing has won recognition with The Academy of Arts and Sciences and The Austin Screenwriting Festival, and his acting has won awards such as the Jury Award at the New Haven Film Festival. Eric has also written commercial campaigns for brands such as 7-11, Netflix, and Cholula Hot Sauce.
