Louise Alston is an Australian-American, female director living and working between Los Angeles and Australia (currently in Los Angeles).

She has directed 11 feature films so far and is not slowing down. Her newest film, newest film HOUSEMAID is actually a bit outside her usual lane and in the action/sci-fi/thriller genre. Distributed by The Asylum.

Louise’s directing credits include: BACK OF THE NET (Disney/Netflix), LICK, THE WILL and RESISTING ROOTS (all Passionflix films, shot in Atlanta and under budget), My Husband's Seven Wives for Lifetime, Three Dates to Forever and The Wedding in the Hamptons for Reel One Entertainment, beloved UK-Australian series NEIGHBOURS and more.

She is attached to direct a period drama feature film THORNFIELD HALL based on the Jane Eyre novel by Charlotte Bronte and a limited-location, thriller feature film ELEVATOR, both written by her writer husband, Stephen Vagg.

Louise is also attached to direct a psychological horror film NIGHT CHILDREN, optioned by producer Veronica Fury (Boar, Hating Peter Tatchell).

A graduate of the Australian National Film School (AFTRS) and the UCLA Professional Program, Louise also has extensive experience in theatre and short film and has recently completed her PhD studies.
